Ballast Control Operator Certification Programme

IADC, in conjunction with the Nautical Institute, has developed a standard for a comprehensive ballast control/stability training course based on IMO Assembly Resolution A.891(21).

The course is also the starting point for a certification scheme for Ballast Control Operators (BCO).

The program was officially launched on 1 March 2005.  Additional details can be found on the Ballast Control-Stability Webpage.
