IADC Competence Assurance Accreditation Program

IADC’s Competence Assurance Accreditation Program offers structure, recognition, and accountability to industry competence programs. This Competence Program is designed to verify that accredited programs meet accepted practices for developing and assessing the skills of their personnel. Organizations seeking accreditation must submit an application, specific evidence, and the application fee to IADC.

An organization that applies for IADC Accreditation will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

  • Policy and procedures document(s)
  • Identification of job positions to be assessed for competence through the program
  • A process for defining competencies
  • Training resources and methods to support the training and remediation process
  • Assessment System – a means to assess an employee’s competence
  • Records System – a means of documenting satisfactory completion of training and assessments
  • Quality Assurance – a formal means of self-directed auditing for adherence to the published policies and procedures and reporting on a periodic basis
