The International Association of Drilling Contractors (“IADC”), which owns and maintains this website, is committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information that you provide to us when using IADC’s websites, www.iadc.org or www.drillingcontractor.org (“the Websites”). This Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information received about you when you visit the Website, or that we receive from you in other forms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any personal information received by IADC other than through the Website. We may make content or services from other websites available to you from links located on the Website. These other websites are not subject to this Privacy Policy. We recommend that you review the privacy policy at each such website to determine how that site protects your privacy.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
General: When you register, and at other times, we will collect personally identifiable information from you. This information may include billing and contact information submitted voluntarily by members and customers. We collect this information through membership applications, purchase of publications or other items, subscriptions, training accreditation or certification registration or purchases, and conference registrations. We do not, however, knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen.
Surveys: We may conduct occasional online surveys. For example, when you’re within the Websites, you may see a pop-up window offering you the optional opportunity of participating in a survey. These surveys are entirely voluntary and you may easily decline to participate. Web Site Usage Information: We automatically collect IP addresses and Website usage information from you when you visit the Websites. This information helps us evaluate how our visitors and subscribers use and navigate the Website, including the number and frequency of visitors and subscribers to each Web page, and the length of their visits.

YOUR ABILITY TO CHOOSE
IADC will restrict use of this information at member/customer request. Members and customers can instruct IADC to deny permission to distribute this information to others. Please contact the Membership Department if you wish any of the following actions: – Not receive electronic broadcasts from IADC, such as announcements of conferences, books, reference materials; – Cancel subscriptions to IADC periodicals, such as Drilling Contractor eNews from DrillingContractor.org or Drill Bits. IADC will not distribute your personal information, including email, to others, except for legitimate IADC business, such as committee activities. It is not necessary to contact IADC to restrict distribution of your contact information or email address for non-IADC business
SECURITY
We will maintain safeguards to protect the security of servers containing your personally identifiable information. We maintain sensitive personal financial information, such as for credit cards, for temporary periods of time only.
REVIEW AND CORRECTION
IADC strives to maintain personal information accurately, and provides the opportunity for members and customers to correct erroneous information. Members can access and update their own records through the “Members Only” section of the IADC website. You will need your user ID and password, which you can obtain from the IADC Membership Department (membership@iadc.org, or +1 713 292 1945). If you would prefer, simply call our Membership Department to correct or update your contact information.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your information for as long as necessary to permit us to use it for the purposes that we have communicated to you and comply with applicable law or regulations.
POLICY MODIFICATIONS
When we make any material change to this Privacy Policy, we will inform you by posting a notice on the home page of this site that the policy has been updated and by changing the date on this page noting when the policy was last updated.
TRANSFER TO U.S. OR OTHER COUNTRIES
Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country where IADC has facilities, and by using our website, you consent to the transfer of information outside of your country.

Almost all content on our website is generated by IADC. In very rare instances, we may include/republish/embed third-party content, such as: links, excerpts, blurbs, royalty-free images and/or videos, media under the Creative Commons or MIT licenses, and/or media or content republished with the expressed permissions of the third parties.
