09.00-11.45 Panel: What Does ‘Prepared for MPD’ Mean? Moderator: Dennis Moore, Marathon
Managed pressure drilling is increasingly viewed as a major enabler for drilling difficult wells, both onshore and offshore. For optimum MPD implementation, a rig should be “Prepared for MPD”. But what does that mean? Is it a rig ready to accept MPD components, or one already outfitted with MPD components? Or something else? This panel of operators, drilling contractors, and service firms will explore the topic from their particular perspective. A general audience discussion will ensue following their presentations. (Notes: There will be three speakers before the break and three afterward. Speakers may not present in the order shown below.)
From the Operator’s Perspective:
-
Wael Essam, Managed Pressure Team Leader, BP
