Abstracts invited for 12 March IADC DEC Tech Forum on MPD – Are We there Yet?”

Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) has received a lot of attention over the past several years and has made great strides toward becoming a standard, mainstream technology that is used routinely. The question then becomes: Where is the industry now in the adoption of MPD? Is it becoming the normal, default way to drill wells? Should it be? Have we come as far as we should in adopting MPD? If not, how much further do we need to go, and what obstacles remain to maximizing the benefits to be realized? Abstracts are invited for presentations to address these questions at the IADC Drilling Engineers Committee (DEC) Q1 2019 Technology Forum, to be held the morning of Tuesday, 12 March, in Houston. Location in Houston to be announced.
